The Helvetia gold coin is a well-known Swiss investment coin among collectors and investors. The Helvetia was minted from 1883 to 1896 with a face value of 20 Swiss francs.
On the value side is 20 FR and the year and the Swiss coat of arms surrounded by oak branches, above which is a five-pointed star. With pearl circle.
On the motif side is a classic female bust (Liberta's head) to the left. Parallel to the edge is CONFOEDERATIO on the left and HELVETICA on the right. With pearl circle.
The subsequent coins minted from 1897 - 1949 are now called Vrenli. In 1897, the Goldvreneli with a new motif replaced the 20-franc gold coin Helvetia (Helvetia = Switzerland, mintage of 1.75 million coins), minted between 1883 and 1896. Between 1897 and 1949, around 58.63 million pieces of the popular Swiss gold vreneli were minted. Despite the fact that the name of this gold coin was only officially changed to Vreneli before World War II (and first documented in writing in 1943), today all coins minted during this period are referred to as Vreneli.
The coin has a fineness of 900/1000.
