In addition to the same-named and successful gold coin of the Perth Mint, which has been minted since 1986, since the year 2016 the silver version has also been used as a bullion coin. On the motif side is also the most famous animal in Australia - the Kangaroo - impressed. Previously there were already silver coins of the Perth Mint with a variety of motifs such as the Kookaburra, the Lunar series or provided with the silver Koalabär.

Due to the ever increasing silver demand, the coin enjoys ever greater popularity.

In addition to the kangaroo, the embossing year, the fine weight and the fineness are also imprinted on the motif side. Like every Commonwealth coin, the back of the coin bears the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

The face value of this Australian silver coin is $ 1 and is legal tender in Australia. The fineness of the silver is 999.9 and can be purchased either individually as 1oz or in Münztubes. Also, the kangaroo silver coin is also available in a so-called master box. There are 10 tubes of 25 pieces.
