There may be production times at times, as the smelters do not always produce palladium continuously. (Status: 23/08/2024)
These 1 oz palladium bars are produced by Valcambi in Switzerland. They are graded to the Good Delivery Standard of the LPPM and are traded internationally.
Rare palladium is gaining popularity as an investment product and is essential in the industry. The largest customer for palladium is the automotive industry.
This uses the precious metal for the production of catalytic converters and spark plugs. It is also used to produce medical devices and dental implants. Another advantage is seen in the jewelry industry, because palladium is cheaper in relation to platinum, but has similar properties, such as appearance, melting point and so on.
In the field of investment, palladium is unfortunately somewhat understudied and is mostly traded in bars, as there are only a few palladium coins, such as the Cook Island.
Palladium is subject to a 8.1 % sales tax in Switzerland.
The bar has a fineness of 999.5/1000 and is delivered individually welded.
Valcambi is LPPM certified (London Platinum and Palladium Market), the counterpart of the LBMA (London Bullion Market Association).
The origins of the producer of precious metal bars go back to 1961 and the construction of a precious metal refinery under the name Valori & Cambi. Already in 1968 Valcambi became London and Comex Good Delivery.
Valcambi's logo consists of a frame of four equal triangles representing a stylized 400 oz LBMA Good Delivery gold bar cut diagonally.
The combination of the four triangles creates a golden square, a shape used by many different cultures throughout history, including Tibetan mandalas, the famous 18th century Italian garden mazes, the chessboard, and Da Vinci's commonly known drawings of the human figure.
Four triangles drawn in a circle form a motif typical of many universal symbols and signs such as Yin and Yang, Olin (a cultural symbol of the Aztecs) and the mystical cross. (Logo text from https://www.valcambi.com/about-us/history/our-logo/)
